Let’s Get Ethical! Applying the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative to Health Communication and Assessment
Tuesday, May 7 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. | Virtual Event

  • Join DFEI Faculty Fellow Hazel Reyes as she explores the successful integration of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative principles into undergraduate Health Communication and Health Assessment courses. This presentation examines how case studies, small group discussions, and the NASBA Ethical Leadership Certification can be utilized to enhance students’ awareness and application of ethical principles in complex healthcare scenarios.

KFL May Storytelling Event: Story Swap
Tuesday, May 7 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | El Pomar Plaza

  • In collaboration with the UCCS Kraemer Family Library & WEST, the bARTer Collective invites you to participate in a movement of empowerment, transparency, and connection. The bARTer Storytelling Collective will bring the beARTer truck to campus and collect stories from people passing by. The collective will have story-collectors typing on TYPEWRITERS to collect stories according to a specific prompt, which will later be turned into story artifacts like postcards, digital postcards, and actual books.

Mindfulness through Art: Savoring Happiness
Wednesday, May 8 from 9 – 11 a.m. | MOSAIC Lounge

  • Come and join MOSAIC in an art and “savoring” workshop! We will do a mindfulness art session where everyone can paint or craft to their liking. The second half with be the “savoring” workshop with different practices to help us enjoy our positive emotions through a tea, fruit, and chocolate tasting and by admiring our artistic creations through all five senses.

  • Are you a creative living and working in the Pikes Peak region? Are you looking for mentorship, business support, and new resources for your craft? Find all this and more when you join the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region for our LEVEL UP! Creative Professionals Night at the Ent Center for the Arts. EPIC: Mozart Piano Quintet
Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m. | Chapman Foundation Recital Hall

  • We are capping off the season in an EPIC fashion. Hear Andrew Staupe, piano virtuoso, perform the iconic quintet by Mozart, accompanied by the audience favorite EPIC Wind Quintet, featuring Elizabeth Gray, Joshua Elmore, Noah Kay, Jessica Petrasek, and Sergei Vassiliev. The other piece on the program is equally monumental. The Poulenc Piano Quintet is one of the most exciting and recognized chamber music works of the 20th century. Purchase tickets here.
