UCCS women’s basketball played against the Air Force Academy’s Division I team at Clune Arena, losing 71-52 in an exhibition game that doesn’t count toward UCCS’ season record or statistics. 

The Air Force Falcons women’s basketball play in Division I’s Mountain West Conference. The Mountain Lions are last year’s Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season co-champions. 

The first period was tied 14-14 in the Nov. 19 game, but the Falcons began to extend a double-digit lead on UCCS in the second, ending with the score at 42-26. The third and fourth quarters were much the same, with the third ending at 61-35 and the game’s final score at 71-52. 

The Mountain Lions play next on Nov. 29 against Minnesota State Moorhead in Hawaii. Their next home appearance is Dec. 12 with a black-out night game against Black Hills State at 5 p.m.
